Jammu City is situated in the Jammu district. It is known as the winter capital of the state Jammu and Kashmir and is the largest city of this northern most state of India. Jammu Festival
The Jammu festival is one of the important festivals in Jammu. The Jammu festival is organized to promote the cultural heritage of the city of Jammu. The inaugural event of the festival is cultural procession, where one can see tableaus prepared by various artists and dance performances from various cultural zones of India.

Jhiri Fair
The Jhiri Mela is organized at Jhiri village near Jammu. This village is situated at a distance of 20 kilometres from Jammu. This yearly festival is held in the month of late October or early November.

Nevgal Khad
Nevgal Khad is one of the most popular attractions of Palampur which is located at a distance of approximately 2 km from the main town. The location is popularly known as Bundla Chasm. There is a stream 300 metres wide flowing through the region that besides being a picnic spot also offers scenic view of the snow covered Dhauladhar ranges. Stream surroundings become serene during monsoons.

Shiv Khori Festival
The Shiv Khori festival is organized at the renowned Shiv Khori Shrine on Mahashivratri. This cave shrine is located in the Ransoo village at a distance of 130 kilometres from Jammu. Devotees from all across the country visit this shrine on the day.
